August 26, 2008, Buklud Kabalen Inc. in partnership with SC Johnson & Son (BAYGON), DD's SUPERMARKET, Mr. Ralphy Reyes, Barangay San Vicente Captain Mr. Choi Carlos, Kagawad Ann Macalino and local officials of the said barangay conducted an Anti-Dengue Spraying Operations.
The project aims to educate the people of the community on the importance of health and to prevent the spread of the mosquito carrying dengue virus.
The team together with the local officials of San Vicente planned on which area of the barangay needs the project the most. The spraying operations started at the side part of Villena subd. where recently a patient was positive of the virus and continued to forward to PiArap, Pulo and PiGulut.
The people from the community were glad that such project arrived in their barangay. At first, some refused to be served because of the fear that they might pay for the service. The anti-dengue operation is a free spraying project and households served were also given free OFF MOSQUITO LOTION and anti-mosquito coils. The team reached its target to spray 350 households and the project ended with a Film Showing wherein it shows the history of the dengue virus and education on how to prevent it.
